To teach any of our qualifications within the Health and Safety Category. 


You must hold one of the below

Subject knowledge:


Level 3 Award in Managing Health and Safety in the Workplace (This will allow you to teach Level 2 H&S and below)

Level 4 Award in Managing Health and Safety in the Workplace (This will allow you to teach Level 3 H&S and below)

NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent

NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent

IOSH Managing Safely  

Degree/ Dip HE in Environmental Health, Health and Safety, etc.


You must also hold one of the below

Teaching Qualifications:


Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTTLS)

Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Sector (CTTLS)

Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Sector (DTTLS)

Level 3 Award in Education in Training (QCF)

Certificate in Education - Issued from a University


Additional notes:


Most Health and Safety qualifications are Lifelong awards and will be accepted.


As there are Lifelong, a certain level of CPD needs to be obtained to keep your skills in check with the guidelines.
